Conoco Fillin' Station was built in 1929 on Route 66. Rumor has it that Bonnie and Clyde stopped here for gas. It is about a half a mile away from where these outlaws killed Cal Campbell. Bonnie and Clyde’s Ford got stuck in the mud and while they were forcing people at gunpoint to help them get out, the police (Campbell) showed up.
